Just wanted to share with you that I’ve started another blog to showcase my ridiculous (mostly healthy) food obsessions! It is in no way related to this blog, but I’m sharing nonetheless… It’s still in the beginning stages, but I hope it encourages you to try some healthier food choices!

Also, for my birthday this past weekend, Dustin took me rock climbing! I had never been before, and I don’t know how I survived without it. I believe I am officially addicted, and can’t wait to go again tomorrow. Will I ever climb outside of the controlled environment of the indoor rock wall? We will cross that bridge at a later date!

Hope to get back to regular posting soon! I’ve had a large increase in my working hours the past couple months that has limited my blogging/making/photo taking time. Check back soon!

We just received word that SewTrashy and EndureLife were accepted as vendors to a local Holiday Craft Bazaar! This is our first show, very exciting… and a little nerve-racking! We have so much to do in a short amount of time. I am a bit stressed (in a good way, if that’s possible). I have no idea where to even begin, but I know we’ll get it done! Guess I better get started… Any tips or advice? I’m all ears!

I am very proud to sale that yesterday I set up my Etsy shop and made my VERY FIRST SALE!!! HUGE, ENORMOUS THANKS goes out to Jessie for being my very first customer!! She is now the proud owner of my first set of Gocco printed notecards! I just stocked up on more supplies so there will be many more Gocco cards up for sale soon as well as some other handmade goods! Check back for my shop updates.

AHH!! I’m so excited! Now off to make a little something extra to send out with Jessie’s cards!  

So it begins… finally! I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time now, trying to build up the courage to just do it!

Although my background is in Graphic Design (which I adore), I’ve somewhat recently stumbled into this wonderful world of sewing! I am certainly still a beginner, but I am just completely obsessed really with fabrics and the potential that lies in them. What really gets me excited are the possibilities of marrying my love for design and sewing!

I am also a passionate thrifter, an avid DIYer, an aspiring photographer and a closet trash collector! My poor husband feeds my thrifting habit. D and I take on DIY projects together on a regular basis and have been known to grab old furniture right off the curb! (Usually in the middle of the night!) It is simply amazing to me what gets tossed. I have always had a weakness for photography, and am still trying to get the hang of it. And the trash collecting, I just can’t help but see the beauty in old, weathered papers, glass, metal and anything really that I happen to stumble upon and find fascinating.

This blog, I hope, will exist to inspire, encourage and further both my creative potential and yours!
