Rust is beautiful. I’m a little obsessed with it. Now, I’ll just let you enjoy these photos taken in La Jolla at Children’s Pool. I love how nature leaves it mark on the things we create. It’s lovely.

I love summer nights… cool summer nights. Not much better than a beach blanket and soft grass on a lovely evening. Here are some moments from my weekend. My little sister was staying with us. We all took Bonsai to the field to play. It was so relaxing. Can’t wait for next weekend! Photos taken by my husband, Dustin. Edited (quite a bit) in Aperture by me! I went a little crazy, but I love that program! It’s wonderful for those of us, like me, who don’t really know how to take fabulous photos… Dustin you take fabulous photos though!!

How do you enjoy your summer nights?

This video broke my heart. Not trying to condemn anyone out there, but it’s amazing how much we take for granted in this country. Even I bought Dustin a $20 gift for Valentine’s Day BECAUSE it’s Valentine’s Day and I’m SUPPOSED to, right? Not that I don’t want to, but he would have been happier if I’d spent $20 on other people. 

It has been very, VERY cold here in Maryland lately, so… I had to buy Bonsai a sweater since he plays outside every day! And, of course, when I saw this Kelly Green one, I knew it was meant to be. I really have a thing for Kelly Green. My friends used to call it “Whitney Green” because I loved it so much, and come to think of it, I wore a sweater this exact shade of green that I’d picked up from a thrift store. Ah, I miss that sweater. What ever happened to it?

Later in the evening. For some reason he crawled on top of
a plastic bin to relax while we were swapping rooms. 
 

And, yes, he is drinking from our water glass.
He had a full water bowl, but he prefers to drink from the glasses we are drinking from.
(No, we don’t drink it after he’s claimed it) Would you look at that tongue?!

I’m all for Apple Computers, but for those of you who can’t seem to get your hands on one… there’s hope! You too can have the fun Photo Booth pics on the cheap. This was a total accident, but I thought I would share since my husband and I had many, MANY laughs while shooting these. Even Bonsai got in on the action as you can see below!
